Over the past few weeks, I’ve shared a few ideas for apple picking themed fun and learning. Here’s a great list of picture books to keep the fun going, and some extension activities as well.

Awww, chicka chicka 1,2,3 made me super nostalgic for elementary school. Great suggestions, is it weird that I want to order the ones you previewed JUST so I know how they end? I think I like storytime more than my daughter does… 🙂

Hahaha, not weird at all. Somedays I like story time more than my boys as well!

I have never been apple picking! I am not sure that I can be motivated to make a lot of pie or apple desserts!

    • Kate

I usually only make crockpot applesauce at my house, because I’m not much of a baker either… I wait until my mom’s around to help me with pies!

  • Natalie

      Thanks so much, Natalie!

This is a great assortment of books and activities themed around apple picking! We are planning to take my 11 month old daughter apple picking sometime in the next few weeks and I can’t wait! I love baking apple pie, making homemade apple sauce, baking apple crisp and drinking apple cider! Yum!

    • Kate

Have so much fun, Gwendolyn! Apple picking is on our calendar for this weekend, and I’m really looking forward to it as well.

These books are fun and awesome! I love how they all have projects. And What’s Inside An Apple seems like a very interesting book. I don’t have children, but I want to see if I can borrow that from the library for myself!

    • Kate

Hope you’re able to find it at your local library! Thanks so much!
